Is it really free?
Every account starts with 14 days of all Pro features, no card required. After that you drop automatically to the Free plan — you are never charged unless you choose to subscribe. The core ledger, reports, and Schedule C summary stay free.
Can I get my data out?
Yes, any time, including on the free plan. One click exports everything — accounts, transactions, rules, reconciliations, mileage and settings — and your ledger and reports also export to CSV for any spreadsheet. You can permanently delete your account and all its data yourself, from inside the app. Your books are never held hostage.
Is my financial data secure?
Your data is isolated per account with database-level row security, encrypted in transit and at rest, and your bank login is entered into Plaid — never into TillJotter. See the Security page for the full detail, including what we do not claim.
Do I still need an accountant?
TillJotter keeps your books clean and tax-ready, but it does not provide tax or accounting advice. We recommend a CPA review your figures before filing.
How does bank sync work?
You connect your bank through Plaid. Note that many banks only share recent history — older transactions can be imported via CSV.
Can I import from QuickBooks?
You can import historical transactions via CSV today. Direct QuickBooks import is on the roadmap.
